WHAT IS AFT?
The AFT (APEX FITNESS TEST) is a simple, structured and repeatable assessment designed to reflect the true demands of APEX Games competition.
Created by George Crewe, co-founder of Spirit Level hybrid gym, the AFT combines endurance, strength and fatigue management into one continuous effort - giving participants a clear and honest baseline of where they are currently at.
Because the test is fully repeatable, it allows individuals to track progress over time, measure improvements and build confidence in their preparation.
It also provides practical guidance ahead of event day, helping participants identify the most suitable category (Open, Pro, Singles, Doubles etc.) to compete in - ensuring both the right challenge and the best overall experience at APEX Games."
THE FORMAT

Run 1km (outside or treadmill)

40 Burpee to plate + 20 DB Thrusters 2 x 10/15kg

800m Row

20 Hand Release Push ups + 40 D-Ball G2OH 6/10kg

600m Ski

20 KB Deadlifts + 50m KB Farmers Carry 2 x 16/24kg
Finish when Kettlebells are placed back down
