APEX Challenge 5 is the UAE's premier team CrossFit competition. Now in its fifth edition, the event brings together the region's top athletes to compete in a single-day, high-stakes format purpose-built to test genuine all-round fitness — engine, strength, skill, and the capacity to perform across all three under fatigue.
The event is built on one principle: equal ground. One division, one set of standards, one floor — every team does the same workouts, faces the same loads, and is judged by the exact same criteria. No advantages, no exceptions. At the end of the day, we find out which team is truly the fittest in the UAE.
The competition format
All teams compete in three qualifying events on the same day. Cumulative scores determine the leaderboard. The top five teams advance to a fourth final event with new programming and raised stakes.
Event 1
Nothing to lose
Pure engine test. Rowers, SkiErg, Assault Bikes. Max calories, relay format. This is where conditioning separates the field — the teams that have put in the aerobic work all year set the tone early.
Event 2
Everything to gain
Barbell on the floor. Heavy load, sharp standards. The event that rewards those who lift the heaviest — raw strength and technique under competition load.
Event 3
Ready to die
Mixed modal. Long, brutal, redline. Rope climbs, wall walks, chest-to-bar, kipping HSPU — this is where we see who has been developing their skills all year.

New test, raised stakes. This is where the top five teams duke it out to be crowned the fittest in the UAE. No carries, no substitutions. Earn it on the floor.
